Image
OOHHOOHH LIVIN ON A PRAYER!!!!!  #paraumautera It's official- halfway done with the best part of my life #quelleéchec #blague #pasblague  THAT WENT BY SO FAST  AGGHHHHHHHHHHH I love it here can't believe I have 9 months left ugh. Monday: Soccer mom day, had a family night and we made the little 7 year old son cry. Tuesday: We had 7 sisters in our house that night waiting to go to the airport Wednesday and in the house we had 6 different nationalities, 5 different first languages, 11 fluent languages spoken, 1 giant fly we killed with a shower rod, and a whole lot of suitcases. Let's just say that night was interesting and by the end I didn't know what language I was even speaking. Wednesday: Soccer mom day part 2! Airport, boat dock, chiropractor appointment, I loved it that was a party. Had a lesson with Timeri who really wants to get baptized but we found out she thought she could get baptized in the church of Jesus Christ a...

We're soccer moms

Me and soeur Dias are total soccer moms. We just spent all day driving people to their new areas and moving luggage and shtuff... hahaha we had fun! I'm sticking around in Faa'a! HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!! SOOOOOOOO very grateful for my dad! Oh man how I love him! Thanks for your example and for always making me laugh and for teaching me how to work hard and be myself and find the passion in life and to forget myself to find myself and to truly love God. You're totes the #BOMB.COM! We did a little church tour for Haimano, one of our amis and he was so nervous being in a big new building with 3 young single gals haha but he was so touched! He just kept saying wow this is really important stuff! Yeah Haimano! On Tuesday we tried contacting a reference but his wife was ignoring us so I think the papie next door felt bad watching us yelling iaorana at a doorway so he invited us to sit on his porch and we talked and he showed us this HUGE rolled up genealogy tree of...

For pday we went to a burger place and I got the biggest juiciest burger. It was incredible. Tuesday we went to try to track down our 17 year old amis who's been avoiding us (haha can't hide from the missionaries forever!) and a gorgoeus moana-looking girl walked up to us and asked if she could take the lessons with us... BAH OUI!!! So we sit down and start talking and find out her name is esperance, she's a member but inactive and is 16 years old. Turns out her dad is in prison right now because he beat her and her sisters and mom so they called the police on him. She told us her whole story and wow. She had so many hard things in her life right now, SO MANY. But the most amazing part is that she's so strong and happy and loving! She seriously had a light radiating from her face! And she wants to meet with us so that she can come back to church and eventually serve a mission!!!! She came on Sunday and man I love her. What a example. Also happy happy day of birt...

Prophet + Tahiti = MAGIC

THE PROPHET FINALLY CAME TO TAHITI!!!!! It was the 175 anniversary of the church in Tahiti and the prophet came for the celebration and oh it was amazing!!!! We got on the bus at 2pm, got there at 3, it started at 5, ended at 9, didn't get home until 11 haha.  They had a cultural hour at the beginning, and the missionaries started it off! We lined up and sang Onward Christian Soldiers and our mission's song, Called to Serve with changed lyrics for Tahiti right in front of the prophet! Closest I've ever been to him! He waved and was so sweet and happy. Then we watched super awesome Tahitian dances and songs. After an hour break with I spent with this DARLING old mamie whose maybe 4' eating sandwiches and chocolate, the Gong's, and the prophet and his wife spoke! It was just wonderful. Sister Nelson talked about sacrificing more fpr the Lord and that that brings us more blessings and less stress. The prophet talked about how our bodies are miracles, how we need to...

I love my mission.

Oh man what did I even do this week idk.  Went to a leadership meeting and that was amazing- all the STLS and zone leaders got together at President's house and had a big meeting and talked about the important of "sheep and chiffres (goals and numbers) " and charity and endurance and all the good missionary shtuff! Then we ate tacos. That was a good moment. We talked about how important it is to "forget yourself" to "find yourself" (thanks dad) and how we want to end our missions. I want to sit down on that plane and feel nothing but peace and joy with no regrets or "should haves." Gonna work everyday and at the very end, slam dunk, buzzer shot. Man I love my mission. Other things this week, we spent 6 hours last Monday trying to get our tire repaired. Let's just say me and cities and the car (Jeshaus) need to see a relationship counselor cuz man it's rough. We drove ALL over the place taking WAY too many wrong turns, ...

Prophet in New Zealand and Pray for Jeshaus

You long time no see!  So Puurai, my area is basically just a huge cliff... everywhere. We're in a car and I'm driving #automatic #thankheavens and the hills are sooooooo steep like you don't even know and they're dirt and full of potholes and bumps and freaking speed bumps! #noidkwhydontask literally going up a hill and having to turn off the AC to give the motor more power wondering if we'll make it almost going up at a 95 degree angle and then ooh let's just put a speed bump here that'll be fun! Haha what a blessing me and Sœur Dias and Jeshaus (the car) aren't in the spirit world. We found a screw in our tire and we killed the battery and almost drove into a ditch and was soccer mom for the others in our zone this week so that was fun. Anyway this area is so great! Holy cow week of miracles. We helped a couple come back to church so the dad could baptize his 9 yr old girl. He went into the lesson wanting to wait a year to start the repentanc...

Nana Mahina! Just a city soeur...

Yo girl is outta Mahina quelle tristesse! It was sad to leave my beautiful Mahina with our wonderful amis and FANTASTIC members and my darling Soeur Anderson. Love that place 4-eva! Saturday we spent part of the day visiting all our amis and some members to say bye, and seriously man the Lord work some huge miracles there. It was a little daunting to get Matavai started but man has it progressed! It is a beautiful fabulous place that is always in my heart! And now I'm an STL in the city Faa'a , Puurai ward. Faa'a is where the airport is so it is in the middle of the big city. Literally it was SO weird it was like being in America but way more sketchy driving around. I'm in a car and I'm the one driving ahhhhhhh.  #prayformycompanion  Luckily it's automatic but I had to take the driving test with a manual and dang. That is so hard but fun and i stalled it more times than I'd like to count and almost died but STILL ALIVE! Love driving, even thoug...
