I chopped open a coconut this week!  Sr Yezli and I tried on our own for about 5 min until a Tahitian sister came out and showed us how to do it... But I kind of felt really legit. We drank the coconut water with straws than scooped out all the meat and woooooow #fruitofthetreeoflife Also I accidentally kicked a bird and then it died... Ok but not like that hahahahaha... I was outside my house at night and my foot hit something  while I was walking and ity was a cute little bird that was sick or something then two sisters in our house put it in a box with a towel on the porch (idk why #blesstheirheart) and then the next day it was out of the box and dead on it's back with ants all over... no I did not take a picture #yourewelcome and THEN the sisters PICKED IT UP and put it in a little cookie box and left it on the porch aaaaall day. Mm. That was... fun. Saturday us 4 sisters for our ward and the ward missionaries invited a ton of amis and inactives to go to the te...

Oh man what did I even do this week? Lots of contacting, we talked to tons of people this week. We had a mamie made up her own plan of salvation so that was fun.  I spent a day in my old sector Tuauru cuz the elders were sick it was so weird to teach my old amis! I used hamburgers to explain prayer to little kids this week. Then they made these huge lists of random things were gonna buy them and give to them the next time we come over soo.... can't go back there ever... oops I saw sting rays right in front of me on the docks. that was cool.  We show pics of Utah to people sometimes and they FREAK OUT. THey think it's the most beautiful thing in the world. And I'm over here taking pics every 10 steps. I've had lots of long religious discussions with people from different Christian backgrounds and it's so cool to see their beliefs. It is amazing though how much sense Christ's church makes, it's simple and powerful and merciful and true!...

People still tell me I need to get fatter. Thanks mes amis, love ya too. Tuesday: I had my first real lesson in Tahitian this week! Let's just say there was a lot of head nodding and smiling and pretending I understood what was going on. But I did say at least 7.5 sentences correctly and at the end the mamie took both my hands and said I'm doing a good job and she's grateful for this work and bonne courage and other stuff I didn't understand and a la fin "ua here au ia oe" (I love you) and she kissed both my hands and it was so cute! Wednesday: It has been raining soooo much this week! It sounds like a water fall is on top of our house sometimes. There was one time we went to the beach to study and we lasted maybe 5 minutes before insanely strong winds picked up and it started raining harder than I've ever seen it but we didn't have umbrellas or anything to keep our books safe so we camped out under a pavillion. Then Sr Semerau and Yezli came t...

Iaorana tatou! Achuru? Maitai roa. Bonne année! Happy new year! I've been reading te Buka a Moromona every day for the past two weeks and wow! God really likes blessing you with the gift of tongues when you read the BoM in your mission language. It still took me 4 hours to read 1 Nephi 1 but that's irrelevant. I can actually read entire sentences without a dictionary sometimes! WHOO! #progress I got a new companion and I love her!!! Sr Bready is basically a ray of sunshine, always happy and so loving! She's from AF and will go home after this transfer (whyyyyy!!!!) she also has the best laugh ever. I went to a marriage/ baptism this week (basically no one gets married, they just live together so a lot of the times when someone gets baptized they'll get married the same day and it's so sweet!) for Laiza Hikutini and let me just say that was a huuuuuge miracle and I'm sooooo happy!!!! She's been so ready and we've all been waiting for th...

Wow what a week! Happy New Year, tomorrow! P-day was so fun, we went to a beach and a waterfall as a zone and it was so pretty. There was a rock in the middle of the little waterfall pool lake thing and a went to go stand on it but coming back down I was trying to not stand in a deep part cuz we can only get wet up to our knees so I tried to jump off the rock over the deep part but instead I just fell in the water and got really really wet #disobedient #feltreallybad and it was so bad but really funny. But then it rained so we were all wet so it's fine. Then me and sr fegter and semerau and yezli got stuck in the rain and danced in the rain for an hour cuz our ride forgot about us and went shopping. It was still fun. Christmas!!!!! LOVED skyping my family!!!!!! Kind of cried a lot, cuz LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!!!!!! We went to a members house to skype and they fed us hot chocolate and bread and turkey and fruit then right after we went to another members house for lunch an...
