Still here and hot and a hair dresser

So we had transfer calls and they didn't have room for me so I'm going to Hawaii! Blague stickin around here in Matavai baby!! With my sweet darling hilarious companion!!!! Really excited to be staying. Really feel like there's a lot more I can learn from my comp and the people and do to help the ward and our amis here. Literally shoutout to my companion Soeur Anderson!!!! She makes my days so fun and hilarious! She is an amazing teacher and had saved the progression with just about all of our amis. She really hates ants but she deals with them anyway and for that she deserves a 10 foot golden trophy full of fruit roll-ups and pizza. She also tries to workout every morning but ends up just sleeping (photo attached haha)... Love her. My missionary sister Soeur Semerau is going to Tubuai  and I'm gonna miss her! Haven't spent a single day of my mission yet without seeing her until now agh! Literally she is goals personified. #alltheshoutouts ...

Bye ocean, hello maggots!

How many sisters does it take to clean up a kitchen full of maggots? Not enough cuz we still found maggots the next day. Let's just say they got into our garbage and spawned like none other and there were hundreds all over the floor and a nest of them in one of the cupboards. Mmm gotta love the great outdoors. Anyway happy pi day and St Patrick's day and Walker's birthday and Soeur Anderson's birthday and the Relief Society's birthday this week! Yes I wore green, no I didn't eat pie, yes we celebrated all the bdays. For Soeur Andersons bday we decorated in a really really ghetto manner and had hot cocoa eggs fruit and pastries for breakfast then went to zone conference and sang there then ate pina coladas and banana cake. Happy day of birth my companion--I love you with all my heart!!! For the Relief Society's birthday we had a ward activity with some fun games. At the end they had SO much cake. I kid you not I have never seen such big cakes and ...

Finally happened...

Finally happened- got pooped on. Yes, this happened. Happens to all the missionaries here and I've just been waiting for the day... and it came. First, a dog peed on my bike (almost me but my ninja reflexes are too fast...) then, in the middle of personal study at the beach under a tree a bird pooped on my dress. Mmm. Yum. Anyway, more professional talk... our ami (investigator) attended a baptism with us and was SO touched! We walk in and see him and he just looks different. You can literally see the light of Christ starting to come into his eyes! He kept saying things like "wow this is way different than other churches" "this just makes so much sense!" "wow this is awesome" and when we had the next lesson with him he told us that he wants to be baptized!!! Ugh such a good day :) there at the baptism I was just so full of joy and the spirit!   Also, in the words of our ami Jeanne, always learn new things so that you can sleep a little les...

Catholic prayers in Sunday School

Ua here au outou! I totally sewed a scrunchie this week- yes I am that awesome and that millennial. Anyway, had a great week! Went to the temple again this week and thoroughly enjoyed the carpet. Ugh I loooove the temple. It's such a bright happy place away from all the worldly troubles. Love just sitting in the celestial room enjoying the peaceful feelings. Got a little sick this week but thanks to my mom-like companion I actually took care of myself and slept and now I'm healed! President was so proud of me cuz no one actually takes a break when they're sick then they get worse. Yay wisdom! Also just so y'all know I found a Tahitian mamie who I'm pretty sure would adopt us if we asked. She said like 12 times that we're her new grandkids and she's our gma and to tell my parents about her. So voila. But she always gives us basil as we're leaving because it chases away demons. Thanks for watching out for us and the demons mamie. For Sunday...
