Monday: transfers, driving to and fro. I'm officially healed from the dengue! I LOVE MY COMP! She's like a Polynesian ball of light and energy all the days spreading love confetti in Tongan, English, Tahitian and french at the same time.
Too lazy to organize this email so day by day update here we go!
Monday: transfers, driving to and fro. I'm officially healed from the dengue! I LOVE MY COMP! She's like a Polynesian ball of light and energy all the days spreading love confetti in Tongan, English, Tahitian and french at the same time.
Tuesday: Lost a fourth of a tank of gas driving people to their secteurs and picking up new missionaries then we stopped at the house right before our lesson that night and I fell asleep for 20 minutes and my comp just left me like that lol.
Wednesday:Had a lesson with Kimihere, 7 yr old son of a less active member. We taught him and his 2 friends about the Holy Ghost by blind folding them and having them go to the other side of the room without touching the chairs. Each time they touch a chair they had to spin around. Then the last round we guided them with our voices. the last time we did it the little girl wanted to guide Kimihere so we let her and she was so excited she was basically screaming at him and he couldn't understand and kept hitting the chairs. At the end we asked if it was easier to go through alone or with a guide (should say with a guide to progress the lesson) and he sits there and then says dead serious "it's better all alone, the guide is too complicated." haha lol not how that's supposed to go...
Thursday: Had a visit with an inactive member (inactive for 20+ years) and she followed through with our last lesson and fasted with us the first Sunday of the month!!! She fasted for her daughter who's going into the army and her daughter passed her tests! Blessings yay!! She was so happy.
Friday: FINALLY had a lesson with Timeri, our dear ami that we've been working with since I got here and I was so worried she had lost her testimony after not seeing here for almost a month but she told us "even though it's not a part of my church, I know the plan of salvation and the Book of Mormon are true. It's touched me so close to my heart that I can't deny it." She has so much faith and listens soo intently to the Holy Ghost.
Saturday: Didn't have any lessons planned so we contacted or references we got. Found an inactive member, her 13 year old son gave us her address to maybe help her come back. She was super nice and invited us back! Then we visited another inactive member, recent concert and thanks to several visits he got from the members this week he decided to come back to church!!!! Y'all have power and you touch more lives than you think people, don't give up on people!
Then we tried to find a reference in a quartier but we got lost and a woman stopped and asked if we needed help. She didn't know the family but we talked and said we could come back and visit with her. Then after an hour she called us just to check in on us to make sure we weren't still lost and to thank us for the little visit. Touched me that even if she wasn't super religious she reflected Christ by her service.
Sunday: Had a lesson with our dear friend papi hiti. We planned for 2 of our members to come, then long story short there ended up being 8 of us there to support him and he was so touched. Talked about how we know that the BofM is true and the Holy Ghost. These members took such good care of everyone around them. Papi too, he's so loving and sweet.
Today we found maggots in our broom- that we spread all over the kitchen from sweeping wahoo! time for a new broom!
