Aita vau parau na roto i te re'o marite
We've decided that Tahitian grandma style is the best thing ever. Basically if you wear floral with different floral, or a skirt and top that are the same color just slightly different shades or wear as many different patterns as you can with a flower clip, scrunchie, and hair claw in your hair with a real flower behind your ear you are Tahitian. Or a homemade fabulous 80s style dress with ribbon and lace and floral prints galore!
Went to a waterfall again (didn't fall in!) and tried to talk to people the whole time but we never knew if they were american or french so we would awkwardly say something in one language and if they responded, keep talking and if they just stared at us, switch languages! Sometimes they would keep staring at us when we switched languages so… who knows.
I have talked to SO many Americans this week holy cow. There were several huge cruise ships that came in, and we did studies in a touristy spot and the waterfall was touristy and our neighbors have American friends over and it's funny that you can just tell that people are American haha. #merika #Englishishard
We had stake conference this week and a member of the Seventy came (Elder Dunford?) and it was so cool and funny to be listen to his talks cuz he'd speak in English (Australian) and the translator would translate in French. I didn't even know what language was which afterwards oh man. Then that night we had a little soirée with the zone and the elders made dinner for us and we played tellestrations missionary style.
But he said "make the decision in time before time makes the decision for you" and I love that! God gives us promptings and tells us to do things but if we wait and wait to do the right thing, that chance is gonna leave before we act. Act now! God gives us more the more we accept!
Also started teaching the sister of Ipu (our ami), Caroline, and when we first met her she didn't like us but she's been watching her brother change and grow and she's been wanting to get baptized and so when we asked her again if she wants to meet with us she said yes! Then we invited her to get baptized the 2nd Lesson and she said yes again! She said when we asked her, that it wasn't us talking, it was God. You bet it is Caroline!
We visited one of our amis and she gave us sand from Makemo, an outer island, and soooo much fruit. Holy cow. Love the grapefruit here they're huge and green and sweet and mmmmm.
yeaaaah pretty much it I think idk. Bisous!
