I love this gospel with all my heart

Went shopping on Monday whooo! Bought me some over priced souvenirs and a pizza :) oh yeah

We had 2 lessons with Timeri this week before she left for a Catholic month long retreat and man does Heavenly Father love her. We've been wanting to teach her the plan of salvation for months but every time we think about teaching it we just knew that she wasn't ready. We spent lots and lots of lessons talking about how to discern spiritual promptings and the role of the Spirit. Then one day we both thought about the plan of salvation for her at the same time and we were filled with joy and peace! We went to her house and man that was the best plan of salvation that I have ever taught! She was just eating it up and asking questions and saying "wow I never even knew it was like that" and "that's so wonderful". Near the end I testified of God's personal plan for her and I was so filled with love and the Spirit testifying of what we were explaining it brought me to tears. Everything we said filled the room with the Spirit. At the end she was so touched and thanked us over and over for bringing her this knowledge.

Then yesterday we had the impression to visit her again before she leaves and we read a talk from gen conf. Soeur Dias asked her to pick a title that speaks to her and she picked the talk by Brother Held about listening to the Spirit (exactly what she's been focusing on in her life) and WOW that talk was written EXACTLY for her I swear. At the end she said the Spirit was talking to her throughout the whole talk telling her that she needs to act now, to not wait and that God wants her to take this path. WOWOWOWOWOW thank you Heavenly Father!!!!!! At the end she was crying telling us how hapy she is and how it all is starting to make sense and how she wants to be a member. She's at her camp now so we'll see what happens after but we're praying for her!!!

Also we had sushi again this week. It was a good day :)
















Happy fourth of July!!!! I wore my stars and stripes #rosie, skyped the fam, and ate all the american food I could to honor merica (apple pie, corn, baked beans, french fries, ice cream popsicle, all the good stuff)













I love this gospel with all my heart, God is so good to us to bless us with all this knowledge! I know that no matter what happens I have Christ and Our Father on my side. The Spirit will not and cannot ever lead us astray. The Lord performs miracles. Joy is found here, in the church. It's the best place for you and me and every one of the Lord's kids. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH H.  Tahiti. That's it. I LOVE TAHITI SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO MUCH!!!!!!!!  IT'S LITERALLY ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES ON EARTH!!!! It's SO Pretty!!!!!! My zone is literally just a road that starts at the base and goes up into the mountain. My constant backdrop is GORGEOUS green mountains with a waterfall way off in the distance. We ride our bikes up and down with jungles and shacks and fruit trees all around and I'm just in awe.  It's just so pretty here and the food is awesome, the fish doesn't even taste like fish IT'S WAY BETTER and there are flowers everywhere. every tree has either fruit or flowers on it. It is INSANELY HOT THOUGH.  You kind of just always sweat. Also I have at least 125 mosquito bites on my legs. ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE, PEOPLE. Iaorana!!!!!!!!  Can I just say I loooooooove Tahitian!!!!  Fave words:  haamahanahana (enlighten)  nehenehe (can/beautiful)  haamaruuru (to thank)  faaamu (to feed)  faahaamana'oraa (reminder)  it's so weird and hard but I LOVE IT! Absolutely beautiful and fun and genius! We taught Tahitian members and RMs (TRC) on the SECOND DAY of Tahitian and it was awesome! That would've freaked out my pre-mission self but now I was just excited to get thrown in the deep end right off the bat. We literally just read phrases off our paper (after kind of learning how to pray and the pronunciation of words) and said maitai (good) to everything. It really helped because I'm a lot less scared to teach my teachers and learn Tahitian in general.It's super backwards and like caveman talk but SO beautiful and really humbling and mind blowing. Oh yeah I'm a missionary...

OH MY GOODNESS I LOVE THIS!!! It's seriously just so much fun and so exciting. It's honestly not as hard or busy as I thought it would be (thank you all for your tips and advice). It's like EFY or college just with a spiritual typhoon. You have a full day, but we have down time and freedom to choose when we do things. The first week was awesome! I said my first prayer in French so WAHOO! Missionary life is seriously just normal life with the spirit helping you accomplish a specific purpose. The first two days I'd be walking with ma collegue (companion) and I'd see to elders with name tags and thing 'Wow look! Missionaries!...' then remember that we're all missionaries, including me. Haha good times... I love finally being here and wearing a name tag and learning the gospel en francais. I still feel like me though. Just regular old Shaustia wearing cute dresses and saying #worthit and ' je ne sais pas ' too many times to admit. So far Fren...
