Hello y'all, that basically explains my whole week... ok not really mais bref. I got a new comp this week and I love her!!!!! Sr Anderson is from Washington and loves Tangled and Lord of the Rings and is very dramatic but in a funny way and teaches power lessons. And she's gorgeous. 

This was my favorite quote from her this week. Elder Jeppson our District leader was showing us his fabulous hats that were Jurassic enough to go dino hunting but fabulous enough to wear for the Protestant mass (people get just a little decked out here). 

Happy Valentines Day!!! Sr Anderson and I LOVE holidays maybe a little too much but we tried to celebrate V day and all for of our attempts failed pitifully but we saved them all the next day so it's fine we're over it.

1st- made a super cute valentine for our faatamaaraa mamie with her name on it not realizing her daughter lives with her and ate with us #valentineforyoubutnotforyou soooo we stuck it in our backpack really fast and gave it to her on Sunday. 

2nd- bought everything to make pink pina coladas that night but we were sooooo full from the dinner, so we made them the next day.

3rd- cut out a bunch of hearts to heart attack our stls and the ALWAYS get home after us but OF COURSE this one day they got home at the same time so we ran in the house and hid the evidence before they came in. Did that the next day too.

It has rained sooooo much this week. Our whole garden was flooded and the roads were like rivers and when in was sunny there were puddles that got our feet get while riding bikes... One day we also got locked out of the house in the rain and we had to climb through a window. To celebrate we ate pina coladas in our soaking wet dresses. #worthit

Also we met a real life conspiracy theorist who's calling in life is to graffiti about the end of the world. He bikes around in a hand made Winter Soldier / Darth Vader mask and shows people his sketchy website. That was a fun convo... #alienstakemoorea

Also went to a baptisms from my old sector and gave a talk on the Holy Ghost and man I am so lucky for this gift. The Holy Ghost is ALWAYS with us and has helped me through my entire life! Can't imagine life without His constant guidance. Ugh seriously so blessed with this knowledge. The Spirit is such a big blessing. He helps us keep going with joy and peace and knowledge everyday of our lives! 

Love you all, listen to the Spirit a little more this week! Always just there to help

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH H.  Tahiti. That's it. I LOVE TAHITI SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO MUCH!!!!!!!!  IT'S LITERALLY ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES ON EARTH!!!! It's SO Pretty!!!!!! My zone is literally just a road that starts at the base and goes up into the mountain. My constant backdrop is GORGEOUS green mountains with a waterfall way off in the distance. We ride our bikes up and down with jungles and shacks and fruit trees all around and I'm just in awe.  It's just so pretty here and the food is awesome, the fish doesn't even taste like fish IT'S WAY BETTER and there are flowers everywhere. every tree has either fruit or flowers on it. It is INSANELY HOT THOUGH.  You kind of just always sweat. Also I have at least 125 mosquito bites on my legs. ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE, PEOPLE. Iaorana!!!!!!!!  Can I just say I loooooooove Tahitian!!!!  Fave words:  haamahanahana (enlighten)  nehenehe (can/beautiful)  haamaruuru (to thank)  faaamu (to feed)  faahaamana'oraa (reminder)  it's so weird and hard but I LOVE IT! Absolutely beautiful and fun and genius! We taught Tahitian members and RMs (TRC) on the SECOND DAY of Tahitian and it was awesome! That would've freaked out my pre-mission self but now I was just excited to get thrown in the deep end right off the bat. We literally just read phrases off our paper (after kind of learning how to pray and the pronunciation of words) and said maitai (good) to everything. It really helped because I'm a lot less scared to teach my teachers and learn Tahitian in general.It's super backwards and like caveman talk but SO beautiful and really humbling and mind blowing. Oh yeah I'm a missionary...

OH MY GOODNESS I LOVE THIS!!! It's seriously just so much fun and so exciting. It's honestly not as hard or busy as I thought it would be (thank you all for your tips and advice). It's like EFY or college just with a spiritual typhoon. You have a full day, but we have down time and freedom to choose when we do things. The first week was awesome! I said my first prayer in French so WAHOO! Missionary life is seriously just normal life with the spirit helping you accomplish a specific purpose. The first two days I'd be walking with ma collegue (companion) and I'd see to elders with name tags and thing 'Wow look! Missionaries!...' then remember that we're all missionaries, including me. Haha good times... I love finally being here and wearing a name tag and learning the gospel en francais. I still feel like me though. Just regular old Shaustia wearing cute dresses and saying #worthit and ' je ne sais pas ' too many times to admit. So far Fren...
